Well.... after many, many years and thousands of dollars in membership fees & dues, I have decided to cancel our memberships with the BBB and Angie's list, and this is why.....
First, let me say that we leave both organizations with an A+ rating and ZERO COMPLAINTS.
Basically what it comes down to is expensive annual membership fees to remain a member of an organization that the public can view & file complaints to for free.
Hancock Fence does not have to be a "member" for that to take place.
With today's internet, there are hundreds of websites, blogs, public forums, city websites, HOA websites, ect. to express your opinions with a particular product or service.
The BBB and Angie's List are included. You as a consumer can report anything you want to and it becomes public knowledge, and is out there for anyone to see.
Hancock Fence does not need to be a "member" and pay fees for that to occur.
So I asked myself... "Is it worth it?"
10 years ago, maybe YES.... Today.... I don't think so.
I would rather remove those expenses from our monthly budgets and be able to lower our prices equal to the savings.
We will always service our customers as we have in the past. We strive for 100% satisfaction on every job, and we always achieve those goals.
The only thing we'll miss is the fancy plaques and stickers for the office wall ... and of course, one less payment!!
